Beavers is where the spark catches. The week they make their Promise — you can see it.

You don't have to be Bear Grylls

Tea-makers, idea-havers, garage-rummagers — we'll find you a job that fits.

For as little or as much time as you can spare. Most of our volunteers are parents who didn't think they'd end up here either.

Common questions

The stuff parents always ask.

+ What does my child need to bring?

Just a water bottle and weather-appropriate clothes. Uniform comes after the first few weeks.

+ Is there a waiting list?

Sometimes. Sign up anyway — we'll tell you straight away where you stand.

+ My child has additional needs — can they join?

Yes. Always. Email us first and we'll have a chat about how to make it work.

+ Can I stay and watch?

First night, absolutely. After that, parents help out by rota, but you don't have to be there every week.
