Helmets on, butterflies in. Crate stacking night returned and this year’s Cubs went higher than any year previous.
The record stands at 28 crates — a towering achievement that had the spotter ropes taut and the watching parents visibly nervous. One particularly fearless Cub made it to the top, looked down, and immediately asked to go again.
The other end of the scale: several Cubs who decided that eight crates was precisely the right altitude, thank you very much, and held their position with great dignity.
Equipment provided by Norfolk Scouts. Dignity not included.
