Forty-odd grown-ups turned up to parents’ night. Half a tonne of biscuits were consumed. Not a single window was broken.
By any measure: a success.
The evening was a chance for new families to meet the leaders, for returning families to catch up, and for everyone to admire the badge wall, which is now frankly impressive. Several parents asked how they could get involved. Several more quietly filled in the volunteer enquiry form.
Thank you to everyone who came, and to the leaders who stayed to tidy up afterwards. You know who you are.
